A landlocked country is one that is surrounded on every border by land.
Disadvantages of landlocked countries:
No sea territory, so there is poor fishing industry and trade links. Access to sea exploration is limited.
Conflict is more possible if the relationship with your neighbours is damaged.
To enter a landlocked country, you must travel through other countries; therefore freedom of movement is limited or regulated.
Health- diseases can spread if not contained.
High trade costs- pay to export and import goods.
Prime target for terrorism as surrounded by land.
Fear of invasion too as border security may be weak
